This large commercial corrugated iron roof had significant moss, lichen, and organic buildup across multiple sections. The client needed a thorough clean to protect the roof coating, improve drainage, and restore appearance before winter set in.
What We Did
Our team carried out a full high-pressure water blast across the entire roof surface, clearing years of built-up moss and debris from every rib and valley of the corrugated iron. The before-and-after difference on this one was dramatic — heavy black organic matter and white residue stripped back to clean metal.
Water blasting corrugated iron roofs requires the right pressure and technique to avoid driving water under laps or damaging existing coatings. We work methodically from ridge to gutter, ensuring all runoff is directed away from drainage inlets where possible.
Results
The roof was left clean and clear across all sections. Following the water blast, a moss and mould inhibitor treatment was applied to slow regrowth and extend the time between cleans.
